Defer Image Example

Here you can see the images being deferred after the initial page load. If you inspect the page and take a look at the console – you can see the page load time and the images loading after the site loads. Right click and select inspect, next click on the network tab and press f5 to reload the page. You will see the page load and then all the images carrying on loading afterwards.

You can also see that there is “data-src=…..” added to the <img src> – this is used to ┬ádefer images. You can check if it is deferring this way.

With the screenshot above you can see the console network tab. The red line (red arrow pointing to it) shows the page load. You can see that the page loaded in 3 seconds instead of 23 seconds.
